Lies - The original

  Lies is the first own piece and was written on 2/16/2011, I did it together with Julia. Julia and Katharina were the most creative keyboard group I've ever had. I taught them both for about 8 years, first on the keyboard and then on the piano, and we also produced our own songs, which they sang. So here you have a playlist with all eight versions of the piece that have been created over the years. This also includes three variations of the piece that I improvised. If you don't know what improvisation is, here's a little explanation:

Lies is the first own piece and was written on 2/16/2011, I did it together with Julia. Julia and Katharina were the most creative keyboard group I’ve ever had. I taught them both for about 8 years, first on the keyboard and then on the piano, and we also produced our own songs, which they sang.

So here you have a playlist with all eight versions of the piece that have been created over the years. This also includes three variations of the piece that I improvised. If you don’t know what improvisation is, here’s a little explanation:

Improvisation on the piano is unique because it allows the musician to create music in real time without relying on predetermined notes or a composition. The musician can develop and express harmonic, rhythmic and melodic ideas in an intuitive and spontaneous way. He can give free rein to his creativity and steer the music in a personal and unique direction.

In addition, due to its design characteristics, the piano as an instrument offers an enormous range of sound possibilities and techniques that the musician can use when improvising. This combination of freedom, creativity and the versatility of the piano makes improvisation a fascinating experience for the pianist and for the audience, who can enjoy the music being created live.

Lies comes here once again in a new arrangement. A fast tempo, an interesting rhythmic figure and an orchestral arrangement make it a great piece for practicing that is really fun. Of course it’s not a piece for beginners but I love it because of its great flow.

You can download 5 different sheet music versions of the piece here;

The original version in E major and in F major and the three variations by me

The playlist contains the following titles:

1. the original version in F major with orchestral plug-in orchestra

2. the piano version in E major3. The sung version by Julia and Katharina from the WerkstattKonzert at Megaphon 2014

4. variation 3 from me

5. variation 2 from me

6. variation 1 from me

7. the original video version of Julia and Katharina from 2011

8. the original version from 2011 on the piano

There is of course also an Easy PIano version of the work

That’s very nice to hear! If a song is simple enough that even beginners can play it, then it can be played by many people and reach an even wider target group.

It is a special talent to write a song that is not only emotionally moving, but also accessible to many people. I hope that my piano songs will bring joy to many people and inspire them to make music themselves.
