I wrote this piece on April 13, 2020 and I love it very much. Rarely do I manage such a beautiful melody.

Julia’s Dream is available here for the first time in two versions that show how I compose my pieces. I have two different ways of working: for many pieces I have the idea and the melody in my head and record it in one go and that’s the version I use to make the sheet music or the YouTube video. The second way of composing is the “making of” version from which I then arrange the final piece. I usually delete this version. I’ve left it here because you can see how I’m approaching the piece, trying out different verses and tweaking the melody. I wish you lots of fun with it and remember: the key is to play, play, play…

That’s very nice to hear! If a song is simple enough that even beginners can play it, then it can be played by many people and reach an even wider target group.

It is a special talent to write a song that is not only emotionally moving, but also accessible to many people. I hope that my piano song will bring joy to many people and inspire them to make music themselves.
